Nothing found after two hour search off Aranmore Island

The Aranmore Lifeboat was launched last night shortly after 7 o’clock after the Coastguard received reports of what appeared to be flares spotted between The Stags and Owey Island.
A spokesperson for the lifeboat says they conducted a wide search of the area for two hours, but nothing was found.
The lifeboat was then stood down.
