Relief as new safety measures to be implemented outside Ballyraine School

New measures are to be implemented to tackle serious safety concerns outside Ballyraine National School in Letterkenny.
It follows a number of reported instances of motorists breaking the red light outside the school, leading to fears that a child will be seriously injured.
The measures include additional signage and lining while also plans to eliminate parking on the footpath at school drop off times.
However the Council say that the provision of a Warden is incompatible with the existing pelican crossing.
