Neurology Services are at Breaking Point, according to the Neurological Alliance of Ireland.
The group has designated this week ‘Brain Awareness Week’, and is calling on the government to act now to improve services. Among the developments being called for is the appointment of a second neurologist at Letterkenny University Hospital.
The ‘Invest in Neurology’ campaign which is running at the moment says the lack of services in Donegal is just one example of the alarming national staff shortage in neurology care.
