A number of sports clubs in Donegal were visited by Junior Minister Brendan Griffin who was in the county on Monday.
The Fine Gael TD is Minister of State at the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport with special responsibility for Tourism and Sport.
Along with his party colleague and Government Chief Whip, Minister Joe McHugh, Minister Griffin visited the Donegal GAA Training Centre in Convoy, St. Eunan’s GAA club and Letterkenny Rovers in Letterkenny as well as Downings GAA club.
Some of those clubs were among a number of sports organisations included in the latest round of Sports Capital funding announced by the department at the end of last year.
Minister Griffin said a new round of funding will be announced later in 2018 – and he’s hoping a number of clubs and organisations in Donegal will benefit again…
