Finn Harps defeated Drogheda at home for the first time since 1998 on Friday evening by two goals to one.
Sean Brennan had put Drogheda ahead before the half-hour mark but Jesse Devers and Paddy McCourt were brought on at half-time for Harps, which changed the game. Though McCourt played just 25 minutes, he had a part to play in both of the Harps goals. He provided the assist to Keith Cowan for the first goal, before he played a crucial ball to Jesse Devers, who in turn layed it off to Ciaran O’Connor to score the winner.
