Female pedestrian is Derry’s first road fatality in 2010

A 50 year old woman has died at Altnagelvin Hospital after she was struck by a car in Derry City.
The woman, named locally as Catherine Harkin, was struck by a red Mitsubishi Colt on the Creggan Road at about quartrer past five last evening.
Police in the city are appealing to witnesses to contact them.
