Fears over possible ‘dramatic cut’ to Irish fishing quota

 

Concern has been raised over the International Council for Explorations of the Sea’s suggestion that Ireland’s fishing quota be reduced by 61%.
Donegal Deputy Pat the Cope Gallagher has relied his concerns to Minister Michael Creed that if cuts are implemented by the EU Maritime Member States on the back of the ICES advice, the fishing sector faces being wiped out.
