Representatives of the Garda Organised Crime unit have postponed a briefing with the Donegal Joint Policing Committee today because of work commitments, with a promise that the meeting will take place in the near future.
It follows a briefing last month from the Criminal Assets Bureau, at which senior officers confirmed they are pursuing a number of lines of enquiry in Donegal, including possible links with major crime gangs in Dublin.
JPC Chair Cllr Gerry Mc Monagle said while the CAB representatives could not comment on operational matters, it is clear they are seeking to identify and seize the proceeds of crime in Donegal……..
