There’s been a widespread welcome for the fact that the County Roads allocation announced on Friday last includes a commitment of €1 million euro for the Laghy to Pettigo road.
The road has been on the agenda in the south of the county for some time, and a 2017 motion seeking funding to improve the road by the now Chair of the Donegal Town Municipal District, Councillor Michael Naughton was unanimously backed.
Cllr. Naughton said the road is a very important one, and it’s vital that funding is forthcoming…….
