A family of six have been left homeless in Letterkenny after being told they had to leave their temporary accommodation this morning.
Jo Ahmed from the UK, her Egyptian husband and four children who were living in temporary accommodation at Gleneany House B&B says they have no money and have now been left without a roof over their heads.
Having presented at the Public Services Centre in Letterkenny earlier today, pediatric nurse Jo claims Donegal County Council have told her they have no onus to provide emergency accommodation for the family as they cannot establish if Ms Ahmed is habitually resident in Ireland.
The family based themselves at the Public Service Centre in Letterkenny for most of the day but have been told that come 5pm they have to vacate the building.
Ms Ahmed says her family will now be forced to sleep on the streets tonight:
Donegal County Council have been contacted but say they are not in a position to comment on individual cases.
