It’s hoped that the May the 4th be with you Festival in Inishowen will act as a huge tourism attraction for Donegal.
The festival which is getting underway on the peninsula this weekend has a range of events taking place, celebrating the filming location at Malin Head.
Donegal Wild Atlantic Way Manager Joan Crawford was speaking on today’s Nine till Noon Show and says tourism figures have increased tenfold since last year’s Irish Open in Ballyliffin.
However she stressed it’s important to keep the momentum going:
