Two kittens have been rescued after being found in a sealed water-filled bag dumped in Ballybofey.
The 2 week old sisters were discovered in a bin outside a takeaway in Ballybofey on Wednesday night last.
The animals have now been taken into the care of Animals in Need Donegal and placed with another cat who recently gave birth to 3 kittens.
Director of Animals in Need Donegal Geta McMullan says the disturbing discovery is reminiscent of a similar incident last year which she believes may be linked:
