Major traffic management plan implemented on Letterkenny’s Pearse Road

Letterkenny Chamber is stressing that shops and servivces on Pearse Rosd remain open for business as Irish Water begins major sewerage works which will continue for over 17 weeks.
The work began yesterday, with traffic restrictions in place.
For the first phase of the contract, which is set to last 12 weeks, the works will be concentrated on Pearse Road.
During this time, traffic coming from the Paddy Harte Road is not being allowed turn left towards Oldtown. However, Oldtown Bridge remains two way, as does the road in front of Dunnes Stores.
From week 12, the works move to Oldtown Road in front of Dunnes, at which point the traffic management arrangements will change.
Chamber officials say they will be in touch with the council and others especially during the first few weeks of the works as they monitor traffic flows.
