It’s been revealed that there were almost 240 buildings under construction in Donegal in December.
The latest GeoView Residential Buildings report has also indicated that 400 new residential address points in Donegal were added to its database last year.
238 residential buildings were under construction in Donegal in December, according to the latest report however some of the lowest levels of construction activity were located in the north-west with Leitrim and Sligo two of the lowest scoring counties.
In 2010 the average residential property price in Donegal was €170,407, decreasing by 22% to €132,846 last year.
There were 1,404 residential property transactions in Donegal in the 12 months to October, with an average property price of €129,487.
Letterkenny had the highest residential property price at almost €141,700, while Lifford had the lowest at almost €121,300.
Meanwhile, Donegal’s vacancy rate stood at 10.4% in December, 5.7% higher than the national vacancy rate of 4.7%.
