Dana to stay in presidential race despite allegations ‘of a sexual nature’

Dana’s has confirmed, what she calls, malicious and vile allegations made against a member of her family were of “a sexual nature” – but she says she’s to stay in the Presidential race.
The Presidential hopeful says she has no doubt an attempt was made to destroy her character and try and force her out of the campaign.
In a TV3 interview, Ms Scallon says the only two times such allegations have been made were during a court case several years ago and now during the Presidential campaign.
The allegations have not been printed in Ireland but have been posted on US based website Irishcentral.
A spokesperson for Dana has said her legal team in the US is dealing with the matter.
