Thousands sign petition calling for Leaving Cert to be cancelled

 

An online petition calling for the Leaving Cert to be cancelled has been signed by over 26 thousand people.
There is still no decision on whether or not the exams will take place on the new start date of July 29th, following a Department of Education Meeting yesterday.
Teachers’ unions met last night to discuss the various issues around holding exams including social distancing concerns.
Predicted grades are among the alternative options being considered.
