A new farm safety action plan is being launched today, to help reduce the level of fatalities and serious injuries on farms.
The Farm Safety Partnership Advisory Committee which is behind the plan, say while progress has been made in raising awareness of farm safety, reducing the amount of death and injury in the sector has been slow.
Over the past decade, more people died in agriculture compared with any other sector, according to the Health and Safety Authority.
