
Donegal County Council is being urged to ensure that where possible, native Irish speakers are deployed in public facing positions in the Gaeltacht.
Cllr Micheál Choilm Mac Giolla Easbuig says in too many cases, people in the Gaeltacht are forced to transact business in English, while there are Irish speakers working in non-Gaeltacht areas.
He’s urging the council’s Human Resources department to review the situation, and make necessary changes where appropriate…….
