Gardai in Donegal are appealing for information about three road collisions in recent days.
A car and motorcycle collided in Buncrana on Wednesday morning last outside Buncrana, a car bicycle and van collided outside Ballybofey on Saturday morning, and a wing mirror was damaged in a hit and run incident outside Raphoe yesterday.
At ten to eight on last Wednesday morning, a motorcycle and car collided at Umricam, Buncrana. Both are believed to have been travelling in the direction of Drumfries. The motorcyclist was treated in hospital for non life threatening injuries
Gardaí in Buncrana are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage. Their number is 07493 20540.
On Saturday morning last at Mc Grory’s Brae outside Ballybofey, there was a collision between a van, a car and a pedal cycle, all of whom were travelling towards Donegal Town. The cyclist was treated in hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Gardai in Letterkenny are investigating, their number is 0744 91 67100.
Letterkenny gardai are also investigating an incident at twenty to nine yesterday morning at Carnowen, Raphoe, in which a motorist driving towards Raphoe in a blue Passatt reported his car was hit by a dark blue car travelling in the opposite direction. It’s believed that the other driver was female and she failed to stop at the scene.

- Gardaí in Buncrana are investigating a road traffic collision that happened on Wednesday the 29th of September at approx. 7.50am at Umricam, Buncrana. The collision occurred between a motorcycle and a car. The motorcyclist was removed from the scene to Letterkenny University hospital for treatment as he sustained injuries, none of which are believed to be life threatening. Both vehicles were believed to have been travelling in the direction of Drumfries from Buncrana at the time of the incident. - Letterkenny Gardaí are investigating a road traffic collision that occurred on Saturday the 2nd of October at approx. 8.40am at Meencrumlin (Mc Grory’s Brae area) Ballybofey. The collision happened between a van, a car and a pedal cycle. The cyclist and both vehicles are believed to have been travelling in the direction of Donegal Town from Ballybofey at the time of the incident. The cyclist was taken by ambulance to Letterkenny University hospital for treatment for injuries sustained. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening. We are appealing to anybody who was on the Ballybofey to Barnes Gap stretch of road that morning between 8.15am and 8.40am and who had a dash cam, to contact Gardaí in Letterkenny. - Letterkenny Gardaí are investigating a road traffic collision that occurred on Monday the 4th of October at Carnowen, Raphoe. A motorist reported that he had been driving from Carnowen Cross towards Raphoe at approx. 8.40am when a dark blue car that was travelling in the opposite direction collided with his car, a blue Passat causing his wing mirror to smash. It is believed that the other driver was female and she failed to stop at the scene. We are appealing firstly to the other driver to contact Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100 in relation to the matter. We also appeal to any other road users who may have witnessed the collision to contact us.
