Letterkenny University Hospital once again had the third highest level of overcrowding in the country this morning, with 40 patients awaiting beds, six of them on Emergency Department trolleys.
In Sligo, there were 27 people without beds, 17 of them in the ED.
The state’s highest figure was recorded in Limerick, with 81 people waiting there.
The national total was 442.
