Cabinet is expected to approve a bill banning fur farming in Ireland this morning.
The bill will also provide for a compensation scheme for the three active mink fur farms in Donegal, Laois, and Kerry.
A 4 to 8 million euro package will be provided next year – and the ban won’t kick in until early in 2022.
