The Tánaiste has given reassurances that the Mica Redress Scheme will be adequately funded in 2022 and topped up if needs be.
There is an allocation of 40 million euro for the scheme in next year’s budget but concern arose after comments made by the Housing Minister indicated that may be the sum total.
But Leo Varadkar says that is the initial allocation but additional money can be allocated should that run out.
