The Dail has been told that the transport system in Ireland is a system of inequality, and immediate action is needed to replace services and allowances which have been scaled down, or are no longer available.
Deputy Thomas Pringle was speaking during a debate on mobility and transport supports for people with disabilities.
He said people with disabilities should be able to live a full and independent life and they should be given the same opportunities as everyone else to be fully active in their communities:
