A man has been charged over a paramilitary-style shooting in Strabane two years ago.
The victim, a 24-year-old man, was shot in both legs at a house in Lisnafin Park in April 2010.
Yesterday, officers from the PSNI Serious Crime Branch detained a 42-year-old man in connection with the attack.
He has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a gun with intent to endanger life.
Police said he will appear before Strabane Magistrates Court today.
The charges relate to a shooting in the Lisnafin Park area of the town two years ago.
Four men went into a house were they forced a 24-year-old man to go out into the garden where they shot him in both legs.
The victim remained in hospital for a number of days.
These are the first charges in relation to the shooting. Two days after the shooting in April 2010, three men were arrested but later released.
