A community activist and former member of Donegal County Council is suggesting that surplus Credit Union funds could be used to fund house building in the county.
Noel McBride says a major issue at present is that builders are not starting projects because the prices being offered are not competitive.
He says in many cases there is a shortfall to be made up, and that’s where the Credit Union comes in:
