Four out of ten voters still undecided on EU referendum vote

Four in ten voters still don’t know which way they’ll vote on the European Fiscal Treaty referendum, according to a new opinion poll.
The Irish Times poll published today shows that 30 per cent of voters intend to vote yes -23 per cent will vote no – but 39 per cent of people have yet to make up their minds.
The poll will be a worry for the government – because at a similar stage during the first Lisbon treaty referendum the YES side had a much bigger lead – but the treaty ended up being defeated by 53 per cent to 47 per cent.
The poll this morning shows that support for the treaty is stronger among men than women, while middle class people and farmers are more likely to say yes than those in working class areas.
