Just three counties account for more than 40 per cent of Ukrainians housed in temporary or emergency accommodation, such as hotels.
Figures released by the Department of Integration show there are now 38,212 Ukrainians who have a status as “beneficiaries of temporary protection” being accommodated by the State.
With 3,971 officially registered according to latest figures, Donegal has the third highest number in the state, with questions being asked about how sustainable this is, particularly in light of the defective blocks crisis, with potentially thousands of families soon needing temporary accommodation.
