Higgins hits out at Blaney’s Lost at Sea Dail comments

The war of words between Donegal Deputy Niall Blaney and MEP JIm Higgins over the Lost at Sea scheme rumbles on today.
On Thursday Deputy Blaney suggested that Jim Higgins had mislead the Byrne family, from Donegal in believing they were entitled to compensation under the lost at sea scheme.
An Ombudsman’s report found they should be compensated for being exluded from the scheme but the government rejected that.
Jim Higgins says the report would never have been published had it not been for his intervention and that he had never once mislead the Byrnes.
