€1.6 million has been donated to the Irish Red Cross’ Creeslough Fund in the aftermath of the tragedy in October last.
Secretary General of the Irish Red Cross, Liam O’Dwyer has praised the response from the public.
€42 million has also been raised in Ireland since the war in Ukraine broke out.
