PSNI in Derry have issued an appeal for information to establish how a man sustained a facial injury on New Years Eve.
The man in his 40s was helped by two members of the public between 10pm and 10:30pm that night, who found him on the ground bleeding.
His injury required hospital treatment.
Police ask those who have any information, as well as those who helped the man, to get in touch.
