Donegal County Council is being urged to do more to support the removal of bulky waste items from the county’s islands.
It’s emerged one islander was charged €300 for the removal of old furniture.
One member of the Islands Committee, John McCafferty believes designated waste collection days would lessen the cost burden on people.
He is calling on the local authority to introduce provisions to assist islanders:
