Donegal County Council is to hold a special workshop to discuss Council housing and the allocation of Council houses.
The workshop was sought by Cllr Michael McBride, who says there is a lot of confusion among applicants as to their place on the list, and the possible timeframe within which they nay be housed.
In one instance, he said he spoke to a woman who believed she had been on the list for 18 years, and when he made enquiries, he found she had been removed from the list because she was in receipt of HAP.
He says with hundreds of council houses planned for the municipal district in the coming years, now is the time to have clarity:
