Storm Kathleen heading for Ireland this weekend

Storm Kathleen is heading to Ireland and is expected to make landfall on Saturday.

There will be a status orange alert for Cork, Kerry, Galway and Mayo from 7am on Saturday until 5pm.

Meanwhile, a national yellow wind warning will be in place from 7am to 8pm on Saturday.

Motorists are advised to expect difficult travelling conditions and fallen trees, while there’s also a risk of coastal flooding.
