Ireland on course to record 200 road deaths

Ireland is on course to record 200 road deaths for the first time in almost 15 years.

Road deaths in July were the worst for a decade with fatalities soaring to 115 so far in 2024.

A roads enforcement campaign over the bank holiday weekend ­detected almost 1,000 people speeding while 127 people were arrested for ­driving under the influence.
