The loud banging noises in Buncrana appear to have ended.
The noise, thought to be a crow banger had been persisting all week through the day and night, impacting people in coastal parts of the town particularly.
Investigations carried out by Donegal County Council’s Environmental Team believed the noise could be emanating from the Western side of the Swilly.
In a social media post, Councillor Jack Murray says those who had contacted him about the noise said it had stopped.
