The ban on issuing gaming licenses which was imposed by councillors in Letterkenny during the 1980s remains in place, and no gaming licences will be issued in the town.
That was the advice given to members during a debate on gaming and gambling initiated by a motion from Cllr Gerry Mc Monagle.
