A Strabane SDLP Cllr is defending Northern Irelands Environment Minister after the town was bypassed for funding to revamp derelict buildings in urban areas.
This week it was announced that £1 million would be allocated to revamp town centres in the North, but Strabanes application was deemed unsuccessful.
But Cllr Patsy Kelly has claimed that Minister Alex Attwoods hands were tied.
He says the Environment Minister applied for £5million, but was only given £1million, and that’s why Strabane missed out….
