A man in his 80’s has died in a crash on the N83 in Loughgeorge, Co Galway, last night.
Emergency services were alerted shortly after 11:30pm after a car struck a pedestrian at Peake, on the Tuam Road.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the car, a man in his 20s, was brought to hospital for assessment.
The road remains closed at the scene.
