SIPTU public sector members expected to endorse industrial action over pay

The result of a ballot on industrial action by public service workers in SIPTU is expected later today.

The count is getting underway  at Liberty Hall (11am) after members voted on possible action as a result of what the union describes as the Government’s failure to offer a realistic replacement for the now expired public sector wage deal.

SIPTU Deputy General Secretary Adrian Kane says it’s up to the Government to sort out the dispute……………
