Letterkenny’s Mark English and Tir Conaill’s Mary Mc Loone were on the winners podium having won their respective disciplines at the National Senior Indoors over the weekend.
English won the men’s 800m title in a time of 1.48.44 to dip inside the required 1.48.50 for the Europeans. English looked a class apart as he strode to an impressive victory ahead of his club mate Darren McBrearty.
McLoone’s remarkable record in senior action continued as she defended her Triple Jump crown with a leap of 12.58m. Mary would also take a silver medal in the Long Jump finishing behind Kelly Proper.
