It is understood there was an incident of stabbing in Letterkenny yesterday evening.
Gardaí say they attended the scene following the report of the incident.
A man, aged in his 20s, is scheduled to appear before Buncrana District Court today.
A spokesperson for Gardaí said there is no further comment.
