Donegal North East Deputy Padraig MacLochalain says he agrees with the Ministers trips abroad on St Patrick’s Day.
A number of Ministers will travel to America, Australia, Japan and the Middle East for St Patrick’s Day.
However he says he doesn’t agree with local authority’s sending Councillors across the world on St Patrick’s Day.
The Mayor of Donegal, his Deputy, a Councillor from the opposition party Fianna Fail and the County Manager will all fly to New York for St Patrick’s Day this year.
The Mayor, Frank McBrearty says the trip is an opportunity to promote the county.
