Sligo Rovers got their Premier Division title defence off to a winning start with a 1-0 victory over Derry City at the Brandywell on Friday Night.
The games only goal was scored in the first half by Anthony Elding.
Derry came into the game more in the second period but couldn’t get the equaliser.
