Irish farmers mustn’t be buried under another layer of EU red tape.
That’s the warning from Independent Ireland MEP Ciaran Mullooly, who says new EU budget reporting proposals could lead to more inspections, audits and paperwork.
As negotiations on the next EU budget continue, MEP Mullooly has told the Agriculture Committee that farmers are already carrying a heavy administrative burden under existing EU rules……….
