Proposed pay deal for National Ambulance Service staff to go to ballot

SIPTU has recommended it’s members working in the National Ambulance Service accept Labour Court proposals aimed at resolving ongoing pay disputes.

Among the proposals put forward are pay increases for most clinical levels below Advanced Paramedic.

Members of SIPTU and UNITE engaged in a 24-hour strike last month, as they argued pay had not reflected ongoing changes in their roles.

Union members will now be balloted on the proposals before a decision is made to accept or reject them.
