A special needs school in Letterkenny has been chosen as Ireland’s favourite building.
The purpose-built Little Angels school in Letterkenny topped the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland’s public choice award for 2026.
The building – designed by McGarry Ní Éanaigh Architects – won out among 174 entries.
Principal Ailbhe Dunne says while the building is beautiful, it has achieved this accolade because of the detail of the infrastructure that caters to their needs:
