
Secondary school parents face bills of more than €2,100 this year, according to new research from the Irish League of Credit Unions.
The survey finds almost six in ten parents describe back-to-school costs as a financial burden.
More than one in four expect to go into debt, with the average amount borrowed rising to €430.
