The Northern Irish Football League season will begin as scheduled this weekend after three proposals put forward by the NIFL were approved at an EGM on Tuesday night.
The three proposals, which could have held up the start of the season had the meeting not taken place, were the approval of league restructuring, the adoption of league rules, and the approval of competition rules.
A 75% vote from the clubs was met for the proposals to be passed.
The Irish League season gets up and running on Friday night with the NIFL Championship meeting of newly promoted Strabane and Institute, while the top flight’s first game sees Cliftonville face Crusaders.
