Donegal County Council is being urged to seek additional funding for its winter gritting programme ahead of a review of the routes which are covered.
The issue was raised at a recent meeting by Cllr Fionan Bradley, who said while it mat seem strange having such discussions at the height of summer, it’s too late to start the conversation when the temperatures start to drop.
Cllr Bradley acknowledges that every member will have routes they want to add, but says as a start, every road leading to a school should be added to the programme automatically………….
