The so-called ‘Temu tax’ looks set to rise.

Just weeks after a 3 euro customs duty was imposed on goods imported from outside the EU, a new and separate €2 handling fee could now be in the works.

According to the Irish Independent, An Post expects the new charge will be rolled out from November.

Full details of the charge are set to be worked out between the European Commission and EU members states in the coming weeks.
